Properties:
Off-white or beige powder. Relative density is 1.32; soluble in benzene, dichloromethane, carbon tetrachloride, acetic acid and acetone; slightly soluble in ethanol and gasoline; insoluble in water.
Uses:
This product is one kind of mostly used after-effect accelerator. Comparing to thiazole accelerator, it enjoys strong scorch resistance, short vulcanizing time, and can improve the tensile stress at a given elongation for vulcanized rubber. It discolors slightly and does not bloom. The vulcanized rubber enjoys high ageing stability. This product is mainly used to manufacture tyres, hoses, adhesive tapes, rubber shoes and cables, etc. While in use, it should be mixed with zinc oxide and stearic acid, and Accelerator TMTD, TMTM, PZ, D or other alkaline accelerator should be taken as auxiliary accelerator. It can also be activated by Accelerator M and DM. Normal dosage is 0.5-2 portions.
